We’re Andy and Julie. We lived in Brooklyn, New York, and got married in August 2010. In the spring of 2012, we found out I was pregnant, and at our first ultrasound, the tech said calmly after about three seconds, “You have twins.” Cue utter shock, surprise, disbelief, some panic, etc. (Pregnancy posts)

Over the summer, Julie finally convinced Andy that living in New York City with two babies would be really difficult, not to mention expensive, and he reluctantly agreed that we had to move. So in August, we drove Julie’s car over three thousand miles across the country and arrived at our rental home in Portland, Oregon.

We both work at home, in the education field. (We’re both former teachers–Andy for one year in Philadelphia, Julie for six years in NYC.)
